Aatidonji Dina


The college campus witnessed Aatidonji dina celebration which is the famous Aati festival in Thulunadu. The students performed programmes which highlight the traditional significance of the festival. The students derived happiness by playing aati special games and enjoyed the aati special traditional food together.

College level competitions on Essay writing, Patriotic song, Painting, Poster making had been conducted in the college on 21/07/2022 with regard to Azaadi Ka Amruth Mahotsav which is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements. The winners have participated in the zonal and inter zonal competitions.

A seminar on NEP - 2020 was conducted on 19/07/2022 in association with Commerce club to make the student teachers more knowledgeable and be updated about the new policy which is the need of the time. The eminent resource person Dr. Ravi M N - The professor, Govt First Grade College, Vamadapadavu enlightened the students on the topic.

Mar Ivanios Day


Commemoration of Heavenly Patron of the institution, Geevarghese Mar Ivanios - The first Arch Bishop of Trivandrum, founder and first head of the Syro Malankara Catholic Church.

Art and Drama


A day for art and drama was arranged on 28/06/2022 where in the student teachers were trained and performed drama on verities of themes as the part of curriculum.

Craft Making


A workshop was arranged on craft making to mould the students to be creative and proficient in creating craft and decorative materials.

Yoga is an art which allows a person to bring out effective personality blissfully. The college campus witnessed World Yoga day on 21 st June 2022 where in the famous Yoga Master Mr. Vijesh Bilinele inaugurated and conducted Yoga practical classes.

Kannada Debate


A debate on the significance of Kannada as medium of instruction was conducted from Kannada Language Club, where two groups of student-teachers presented their thoughts and practicability in logical manner.

The student teachers visited 'Jeevan Jyothi Special School, Mardala' on 15/06/2022 to get collective knowledge about specially challenged students related to Inclusive Education.

Environment Day Celebration.... a path towards the awareness to nurture the nature.

Educational Picnic:


One day picnic was arranged from the college on 17th May 2022 to Chickmangalure in collaboration with the Art and Drama in Education and Language across the Curriculum department.



One day Art and Drawing workshop had been conducted in the college campus on 11th May 2022. Mr. Shripathi Rao, the Head Master of Sri Durgambha high school, Alankar and famous artist, trained the students-teachers.

College Wall Magazine was inaugurated by Dr. Fr. Eldho Puthenkandathi, the manager of the Institution on 5th May 2022.

Academic Result:


The result of II & IV Semester B Ed 2021-22 has been announced and Mar Ivanios College of Education secured 100% results with excellent performance. In II Semester 88% of students secured First class with distinction, 12% of students secured first class respectively. In IV Semester Student-teachers achieved 100% first class with distinction.

World Dance Day


World Dance Day was celebrated in the college by performing verities of dance forms.

Club Inauguration


Various clubs of the college were inaugurated by Rev. Sr. Stephy Thomas D. M., the Headmistress of Mar Ivanios High school. Rev. Fr. Eldho Puthenkandathil presided over the program. The year plan of the various clubs were also published.

Ambedkar Jayanthi was celebrated to honor and commemorate the profound thoughts and contribution of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.

Freshers' Day


The academic year 2021-22 commenced from 04/04/2022. Freshers' day was conducted and the students were welcomed to the institution.

A get together was arranged in the College on 10 th March 2022 to bid farewell for the 2 nd year student-teachers.

The Moderation Board from the Mangalore University visited the College on 9th March 2022 for the comprehensive assessment of the academic activities of the student-teachers. The panel of Moderation Board appreciated the overall performances.

World Women’s Day


“World Women’s Day” was celebrated in the college on 8th March 2022. Cultural programmes were performed which specifies the significance of Women.



The College is proud of Mrs. Seethalakshmi, our II B Ed student for compiling an anthology of poems “Nannolagina Naanu”.

The College published the Annual Magazine “Sprouting Spring” during the annual day celebration on 3rd March 2022.

College Annual Day


College Annual day was on 3 rd of March 2022, presided by Most Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Makarios-the Bishop of Diocese of Puttur. Chief guest Rev. Fr. Arun Wilson Lobo-the correspondent of St. Jockim’s and St. Ann’s Institutions, Kadaba, graced the occasion. The champions of “Ivanian Sports Meet” and “Ivanian Fest” were awarded. The student-teachers exhibited varieties of cultural programmes.

Prize distribution Day was conducted in the College auditorium to award the winners in cultural competitions. Rev. Fr. Melvin OIC, the Principal of Sapentia Bethany First Grade College, Nellyady was the Chief Guest and blessed the occasion with inspiring message.

Patriotic song competition was conducted on 25 th February 2022. Winners were awarded on the occasion of “Azadi Ka Amruth Mahothsava” celebration.

MathruBhasha Diwas


To promote the respect towards mother language and awareness of cultural diversity, “MathruBhasha Diwas” was celebrated in the college on 21 st February by the Language Club Student Teachers.

Ivanian Fest


The college witnessed the “Ivanian Fest” on 22 nd and 23rd of February where students were provided opportunity to participate in different cultural competitions.

Voter's Day was celebrated to give awareness of casting vote as a citizen of India

The Second year student teachers visited BRC (Block Resource Centre), Sullia and prepared the comprehensive report of the functioning of the office as the part of their teacher-training.

Ivanian Sports Meet


The MICE campus was full of energetic and enthusiastic vibe on 16/02/2022, as the college was witnessing Ivanian Sports Meet. Different track events and games were conducted and the winners were awarded.

The students of I and III semesters have achieved excellent result. More than 90% students have grabbed first class with distinction.

Christmas celebration on 23rd December 2021 brought warmth & serenity in the college atmosphere. Rev. Dr. Eldho Puthenkandathil-the manager of the college, gave Christmas message. The student –teachers performed varieties of programmes conveying Christmas & New Year message.

Human Rights Day


The Human Rights Day was celebrated in the college. The programme had been arranged by the College Human Rights Cell under the leadership of Asst. Pro. Mr Ajit Kamat. An effective & informative debate by the students brought out the essence of Human Rights in human life.

Constitution Day


National Constitution Day was commemorated by reading the preamble of the constitution and displaying the importance of the day.

Kanakadasa Jayanthi


Kanakadasa Jayanthi was celebrated in the college on 20/11/2021 to commemorate the great contribution of Kanakadasa in the field of arts and culture. Students exhibited very influential and effective programmes.

A seminar was arranged in the college on the topic “Gender, School and Society” on 17/11/2021. The social worker, Athradi Amrutha Shetty was the resource person who made the students to modify the thoughts and acts towards gender as well as to accept the dignity and high up the status of women.

Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated in the college on 2nd of November to commemorate the day of Karnataka state formation. Students performed skit, dance, group song and speech which elevated the greatness and glory of Kannada language and Karnataka.

Clean India Abhiyan


Clean India Abhiyan was conducted in the college. The students performed a program which develops awareness about the clean - India, clean - environment concept. The students also participated in the college garden cleaning work with great enthusiasm.

Onam celebration


Institution under the fragrance of Onam celebration along with Pookalam, Thiruvadira, Onam song and Onam Sadya.

Drama performance


II year student teachers exhibited excellent drama performance adopting verity contemporary themes on the subject "Art and Drama in Education".

Workshop was arranged on Art and Drama in Education lead by Aneesh Ameen - The winner of "Comedy Kiladigalu reality show" and Smithesh S Barya - The Director of film "Kanasu Maratakkide"

The visit of II year B.Ed students to Bethany Jeevan Jyothi special school, Mardala to be more knowledgeable in Inclusive education and also to experience the educational environment of specially abled students.

The students of II year B.Ed had undergone a training program on smart class in the subject ICT St. Ann's English medium school Kadaba, in order to be proficient in modern educational technology.

The college students' union was inaugurated by watering the plant.

Theatrical Play was an awesome performance presented by the students under the subject Art & Drama in Education.

One day workshop had been conducted by Mr. Shreepati Rao - the Drawing teacher, Shri Durgamba High school, Alankar.

Human Rights Day


Human Rights Day in our college witnessed elaborate talk by the student Mrs. Shobitha about Human Rights. Students enacted and exhibited the vitality of Human Rights through cultural events.

Motivation Class


Time management is self management which leads to perfection in our life. Rev. Dr. Eldho Puthenkandathil had taken a motivation class regarding the importance of Time management.

The students participated in the district level competitions held at Govt. First Grade College, Mangalore in the theme "One nation one constitution" on account of National Constitution Day and won several prizes. 1. Miss. Sourabha G, I B.Ed - I place in Essay competition 2. The National Constitution Day was celebrated in our college on 26th November 2019 to spread awareness about Indian constitution and to instil a sense of patriotism among the students.

Students visited Shree Satya Sai Residential school, Chokkadi to study and prepare a report about the residential schools. The study was related to the subject Contemporary Education in India.

Visit to Kuppalli


Students of III Sem B.Ed had visited Kuppalli, the hometown of Rastrakavi Kuvempu. The purpose of the visit is to study and know more about the renowned poet, which is the part of subject Art and Drama in Education.

National Education Day was celebrated on 11th November 2019 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Moulana Abul Kalam Azad. A talk and presentation was arranged which was led by Miss. Thrupthi M Shetty.

The Vigilance Awareness Week commenced with the Integrity Pledge to all the faculties, students and staff members by senior most functionary on 28-10-2019.

National Unity Day


National Unity Day was celebrated on the account of the commemoration of Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel - the Iorn man of India. Various programs along with march-past by uttering slogans took place. Essay competion had been held and the winners were awarded.

Freshers' Day


With the purpose of welcoming new comers in a friendly atmosphere, to encourage their creative impulses and to boost their confidence, college had conducted the Freshers' day on 19-10-2019 with the esteemed presence of correspondent Rev. Dr. Eldho Puthenkandathil.

Most. Rev. Dr. Geeverghese Mar Makarios - the Bishop of Puttur & Patron of the Institution visited the college and had an informal interaction with the students and teachers.

Day out


A Day out had been organised on 14th october in which all the students with the faculty memmbers had taken part and enjoyed. The trekking to Ranipuram hill and view of Bekal fort was an amazing experience.

Gandhi Jayanthi


To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahathma Gandhiji, Swachatha abhiyana was organised to spread the awareness of cleanliness.

Visit to Museum


Museums enrich critical thinking, cultural capital, love towards antique and our heritage. To develop these qualities in students institution has provided an opportunity to visit museum.

Rain harvesting and Water conservation is the need of the present scenario. To get the practical knowledge students from our college had been visited Ermala. Mr. Subrahmanya, Teacher, St. Mary's High school, Mardala had guided the students.

The enthusiastic members of the Humanities club of our college organised relevant program on 21 September in connection with the International day of peace. The theme of the year is " Climate action for peace". The celebration brought out a good meaning to the students through a presentation by Sr. Gracy K J.

Students had participated in the intercollegiate competitions held at St. Aloysius Institute of Education and won Ist prize in craft and IInd prize in documentary.

Mis. Reshma Mary Thomas has won first prize in the university level and participated in the state level science seminar competition organised by Karnataka science and technology academy held at Bidar.

Awareness Program


Students participated in the cluster level awareness program (Drug addiction) hosted by the Sapentia Bethany College, Nellyadi.

Onam Celebration


Onam was celebrated with cohesiveness by the college community. Pookalam, Onam sadya and cultural events were the fascinations of the day.

The college student council organised teacher's day solemnly to express their love and gratitude towards the teachers. The day was filled with joy and happiness.

Women empowerment is to elevate womanhood and enrich the indomitable spirit of the women. The cell was inaugurated by Dr. Shobhitha Sathish - The lecturer, Vivekananda College of Education.

Independence Day


Independence day was celebrated with great patriotism. Mr. Raghunandana k - The lecturer in Computer science has delivered a beautiful speech with historical information.

The actively functioning language clubs in our college are Kannada, English and Hindi. Language is meant for meaningful communication. The club was inaugurated by Rev. Sr. Jesmin Therese DM - The principal, Mar Ivanios English Medium School.

Environment day was celebrated in our college on 6th June for the purpose of planting the saplings to prevent global warming and reduce pollution.

Leader is one who leads the group, knows the way and shows the way. College imparts such capabilities among the students through students council. The council was inaugurated by Rev. Sr. Jesmin DM - The principal, Mar Ivanios English Medium school. The Correspondent Rev. Dr. Eldho Puthenkandathil led the oath taking ceremony.

Under the Humanities club an awareness program was conducted on drug addiction, usage of mobile, sexual harassment and environment by Mr. Rakesh - The lecturer, Sooraj PU college, Mudipu

The Humanities club is formed in our college to implement Human values in the life of the students. The club was inaugurated by Mr. Rakesh - The Lecturer Sooraj PU college, Mudipu

Awareness program on Dengue was given by Mr. Rajesh Upadyaya the lecturer in Science. The teachers and students participated very enthusiastically in the cleaning of college surrounding and fogging.

Patron's Day


Servant of God Mar Ivanios is the patron of our institution and the feast of the patron is celebrated on 15th July every year. This year we have celebrated patron's day in our college on 20/07/2019 with the gracious presence of Rev. Fr. Thomas Punnamadam

The orientation session was conducted by the Correspondent and Manager of the Institution and also the resource person Rev. Dr. Eldho Puthenkandathil towards the enrichment of self personality.
